Estão abertas as inscrições para o 8º Festival Internacional de Curtas de Belo Horizonte. As inscrições para as Mostras Competitivas Brasileira e Internacional são gratuitas e devem ser feitas de 02 a 31 de março de 2006, através do site oficial www.festivaldecurtasbh.com.br, onde também está disponível o regulamento do Festival.
A grande novidade deste ano é que as Mostras Competitivas aceitarão inscrições de curtas-metragens finalizados em qualquer formato de vídeo, além de película 16mm e 35mm. Serão aceitos trabalhos de todos os gêneros, lançados entre janeiro de 2005 e março de 2006. O curta-metragem deverá ter no máximo 30 minutos de duração e estar finalizado no momento da inscrição. Curtas inscritos nas edições anteriores do Festival não serão aceitos. A lista dos trabalhos selecionados para as Competitivas Brasileira e Internacional será divulgada até 21 de junho de 2006.
O 8º Festival Internacional de Curtas de Belo Horizonte será realizado entre os dias 21 e 30 de julho de 2006, no Cine Humberto Mauro, no Palácio das Artes, e em outros espaços de Minas Gerais a serem divulgados oportunamente.

The registrations to the 8th Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival are open. The registrations to the Brazilian and International Competitive Exhibitions are free, and must be done on the period from March 2nd to March 31st 2006, through the official website www.festivaldecurtasbh.com.br, where is also available the Festival's statute.
The great news of this year is that the Competitive Exhibitions will accept registrations of short films concluded in any video format, besides in 16mm or 35mm film. All categories of films will be accepted, which were launched on the period from January 2005 to March 2006. The short film must have the time duration of 30 minutes, and must be concluded at the moment of registration. The short films that were registered in previous editions of the Festival will not be accepted. The list of the short films selected to the Brazilian and International Competitive Exhibitions will be divulged until June 21st 2006.
The 8th Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival will take place on the period from July 21st to July 30th 2006, at the Humberto Mauro Movie Theater, in Palácio das Artes, as well as in other locals of the state of Minas Gerais that will be divulged later.
