 INTERNATIONAL JURIED SCULPTURE COMPETITION  Artists are invited to submit outdoor sculptures to be featured at the Ninth  Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition from May 1st ~  October 1st, 2006. All materials must be completely  weatherproof and suitable for public viewing. Site-specific proposals are  acceptable for entry. All participating artists receive awards.  On  the Road - CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Center for Fine Art Photography promotes the  art of photography and the efforts of creative artists through its exhibitions  and publications. It invites U.S. and International photographers to  submit their work, accepting all forms of photography, both traditional and  digital and those working in the avant garde. Awards include: 1) $1,000 in  awards, 2) Best of Show, 3) Feature Artist in the February 2006 issue of  Artists' ShowCase, 4) the selected works of approximately eight additional  exhibitors will also be included in the print edition of Artists' ShowCase, 5)  Director's Selection award.  Projekt30 is taking submissions for its 18th  publicly juried exhibition, scheduled to open February 1st,  2006. We are  an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. The  exhibition will include thirty artists; invitations will be sent to over 50,000  galleries, collectors, and fellow artists. All artwork submitted will be  presented online prior to the exhibition so visitors of Projekt30 may help  select which artists will be included in the February Exhibition. Visitors have  the option of contacting any participating artist with feedback or  opportunities. Unlike other juried exhibitions, all participants receive some  exposure.  2006  Residency Season at the Artists' Enclave at I-Park. I-Park announces its sixth  season hosting The Artists' Enclave. Artists' residencies, self-directed/project  oriented, will be offered from May through November 2006. Most sessions are four  weeks in duration, with a six-week session planned for October-November.  Residencies will be offered to visual (including digital) artists, music  composers, environmental artists, landscape and garden designers and architects.  Work samples will be evaluated through a competitive, juried process. There is a  $20 application processing fee required and artists are responsible for their  own transportation to the area. They also provide for their own food and work  materials. The facility is otherwise offered at no cost to accepted artists.  I-Park is a 450-acre natural woodland retreat in rural East Haddam, Connecticut. Accommodations include comfortable  private living quarters in an 1850's farmhouse, shared bathroom facilities and a  private studio on the grounds.  20th  Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition is a competition that places  ten new sculptures on the campus of Appalachian State University and includes  works selected from two categories: completed and site specific. This summer  will celebrate the 20th Anniversary and has invited Michael Klein, Executive  Director of the International Sculpture Center to serve as juror. Each artist  receives $1,000 honorarium for participating in the program, and the Rosen Award  Winner receives an additional $5,000. Additionally, the winner is also awarded a  weeklong residency at ASU and works directly with our Department of Art. The  Rosen Competition is a part of An Appalachian Summer Festival-a multi-arts  festival featuring music, dance, theatre and visual arts.  2006  National Lower Town Art and Music Festival. Festival  dates are May 26th through May 28th,  2006. Open  to artists over 18 years of age residing in the  United  States, Canada, and  Mexico. Entries must be original fine art  or fine craft. Selections will be made from a review of 35 mm slides or digital  images in the form of jpeg files (maximum dimension of eight inches in image  size minimum resolution 300dpi). A non-refundable entry fee of $25 entitles the  artist to submit up to four (4) images, three images of original work and one  image of booth.
